Question 1 of 4

How do you want to spend most of your time in Kaiju Alpha?

TL;DR, Key Takeaways
  • Each answer nudges a weighted score across burst, survivability, mobility, and efficiency, not a single fixed ranking
  • S-tier kaiju get scored down for players under 40 hours, matching community advice against rushing them
  • Kaiju priced above your U-cell balance still show up, just scored lower, so you can see what to save for
  • Suko (~350 U-cells) tends to win for budget-conscious new players, Destoroyah Form 4 for veteran PvP burst

How the Playstyle Match Score Works

The 4 axes are not new numbers I made up for this quiz, they are derived from the same base HP, DPS score, stamina cost, and speed tier already used in the damage comparison calculator. Burst equals the relative DPS score. Survivability normalizes base HP across the roster, the tankiest form scores 100. Mobility maps speed tier (S/A/B/C) to a 100 to 25 scale. Efficiency is stamina cost inverted, a Low-cost kit scores 100, Very High scores 15.

Your first answer sets a weight on each axis, PvP leans burst and survivability, grinding leans efficiency, raids lean survivability. The fourth question, what you reach for when a fight goes wrong, nudges one axis up by another 20 percentage points before the weights are renormalized. Hours played and U-cell budget are applied as separate multipliers on top, not folded into the weights, since they describe what you can access rather than what you prefer.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Kaiju Alpha playstyle quiz decide my match?

Each of the 8 tested kaiju gets a score on 4 axes, burst, survivability, mobility, and stamina efficiency, computed from the same stats used in the damage comparison tool. Your answers set weights, then hours-played and U-cell budget apply as separate discount multipliers. The highest scorer wins, the runner-up shows too.

Which kaiju should I unlock first in Kaiju Alpha?

For most new players, Suko at around 350 U-cells is the standard first paid unlock, its speed and low stamina cost make early PvP more forgiving. The quiz gives a more personal answer based on whether you lean PvP, grinding, or raids.

Is Godzilla Minus One or Destoroyah Form 4 the better first S-tier pick?

Godzilla Minus One is a flat ~500 U-cell purchase with no gate, the lower-variance S-tier pick. Destoroyah Form 4 is gacha, community tracking puts it at 140 to 170 pulls around level 30, more expensive and RNG-heavy, but it edges ahead in pure burst.

How many U-cells does Suko cost in Kaiju Alpha?

Approximately 350 U-cells, the cheapest paid unlock among the 8 kaiju this quiz scores. Community guides consistently point new players toward it as the first purchase after the free starters.

Should I save U-cells for an S-tier kaiju as a new player?

Community consensus is no, not before roughly 30 to 60 hours of playtime. S-tier kits punish poor timing, a Suko player with good muscle memory tends to outperform someone misplaying an S-tier form they are not ready for. The quiz builds that gate in automatically.

Does the quiz account for my U-cell budget?

Yes. Kaiju priced above your stated balance stay in the ranking but score lower, so you can see them as a target instead of losing them entirely. Leave the field blank and it assumes the lowest budget bracket.

Can my quiz match change if my playstyle changes later?

Yes, retake it any time. The scoring only looks at the 4 answers from that run, so a player who moves from PvE grinding into PvP duels will usually land on a different top match.
