Best kaiju in Kaiju Alpha — S tier guide for Roblox players (May 2026)

Jim Liu · Last updated 2026-07-28 · Sourced from named creators, not from stat tables

The honest answer to which kaiju is best in Kaiju Alpha starts with something most guides will not tell you: a fixed per-kaiju stat table cannot exist in this game. Kaiju Alpha uses player-allocated skill points, so two players on the same kaiju have different numbers. What does exist is opinion from creators who play it, and it is blunt. The roster is badly unbalanced, the endgame kaiju vastly outclass everything else, Destoroyah is still overpowered after a nerf, and a level 200 Space Godzilla clears a crowd in two button presses. This guide covers those views, the three unlock prices anyone has stated on camera, which kaiju to start on, and which to avoid.

Where a claim comes from a named creator, we name them and link the video. Where nobody has published something, we say nobody has published it rather than filling the gap. That means this page has fewer numbers on it than the sites ranking above it. Those numbers are invented, including the ones this site used to carry.

A relative reading of named-creator commentary, not official figures and not a crowd ranking. Bands are ordered by how those creators talk about these kaiju.

The two best kaiju overall, and why nobody can rank them precisely

Two kaiju come up more than any others when people talk about what is too strong in Kaiju Alpha: Destoroyah and Space Godzilla. Neither has a published stat line, so what follows is what named creators have actually said about them, plus what the official patch text confirms. You will not find a damage comparison here because no damage figures exist for either one.

Endgame

Destoroyah

The most frequently named overpowered kaiju · No price has been stated on camera

Nerfed once, and by the account of the one creator covering balance, still too strong afterwards.

Destoroyah is the kaiju people complain about. In his video on the game's balance problem, Nerdious Momentos says it remains overpowered even after receiving a nerf. That is the single most specific balance claim any creator has made about a named kaiju in Kaiju Alpha, and it is why Destoroyah sits at the top of this page rather than something with a bigger number attached to it.

The developer has shipped Destoroyah repeatedly. The official patch text for Update 24 reads ADDED DESTOROYAH AGGREGATE, and Update 25 added a Destoroyah fly form. The place name history also shows a DESTOROYAH FORM 4 window in May 2026 and an X2 XP Destoroyah event later that month. So there are several Destoroyah forms in the game, and no source anywhere distinguishes their power from each other with numbers.

What nobody can tell you: how much damage it does, how much health it has, what its cooldowns are, or what exactly the nerf changed. Those numbers are not published by the developer, have not been extracted by any creator, and the sites that display them are generating them.

Verdict: The most commonly named too-strong pick in the game. If you already own a Destoroyah form, the one creator who has covered balance in depth suggests you are not at a disadvantage.
Endgame

Space Godzilla

The clearest example of the endgame power gap · 500,000 G-cells

Two button presses to clear a crowd at level 200.

Space Godzilla is the kaiju that best illustrates why this roster is considered unbalanced. Nerdious Momentos says a level 200 Space Godzilla clears a crowd in two button presses. He also gives its price directly from his own play: 500,000 G-cells, the same as Shimo, and he calls that the endgame band with the rest costing more.

For farming it has a named routine rather than a stat line. Tycooner describes using skill 2 followed by V to set up a crystal garden and then detonating it, or using skill 4 to pull a group in before detonating. Because cells come from damaging players and assists pay in full, a setup that catches several players at once is worth more than a clean single kill.

It arrived in Update 21, whose official text reads ADDED SPACEGODZILLA. There is also a Giant Space Godzilla in the roster that creators reference separately. No price has been stated for that one.

Verdict: The best documented endgame pick, with a real price and a real farming routine attached. If you are saving toward one thing, this is the target with the least guesswork around it.

Best kaiju for beginners in Kaiju Alpha

Biollante. That is the recommendation from Nerdious Momentos, who calls it the best beginner kaiju while noting it is still slow. It is the only beginner pick a named creator has given, so it is the only one this page will give you.

The more useful beginner advice is about the economy rather than the roster, because the price scale is the thing that catches new players out:

  1. Understand what you are saving for. The endgame band is 500,000 G-cells. Creators have posted spends approaching a million on single unlocks. If a guide told you a kaiju costs 600, that guide invented the number.
  2. Learn where cells come from. You earn cells and XP by damaging other players' kaiju, and both come from the same action. Mon Crex demonstrates on camera that assists pay in full, so you do not need the kill. A player kill is worth roughly 200 to 500 cells, which is Tycooner's range from his own play rather than a published figure.
  3. Do not chase buildings. Guides that describe building destruction routes have imported that mechanic from Kaiju Universe, a different game. Nobody has demonstrated building damage paying cells in Kaiju Alpha.
  4. Prefer reach over raw power while you are poor. A kaiju that can hit several players from outside the scrum earns more per minute than one that has to walk in, because damage spread across more targets is what drives income.

One thing genuinely nobody has documented: which kaiju you get for free when you start. Every list claiming to know is tracing back to the same AI-generated sources, so we leave it blank rather than guess.

Best kaiju for PvP and cell farming in Kaiju Alpha

These two things are the same activity in Kaiju Alpha. Cells and XP both come from damaging other players' kaiju, and no other income source has ever been demonstrated on camera. So the farming picks below are PvP picks, chosen for how well they spread damage across a crowd rather than how hard they hit one target.

Named farming routines

Space Godzilla, skill 2 then V for the crystal garden, then detonate. Or skill 4 to pull a group in first. (Tycooner)

Monster Zero, charge voltage into skill 5. (Tycooner)

Shimo, kills charge Sky Blast, so the routine snowballs when a crowd is already low. (Tycooner)

Godzilla 2000, atomic breath spam into crowds, but hide afterwards because other players will come looking for you. (Tycooner)

Picks while you are still saving

Heisei Godzilla, pulse and twin beams, sniping a crowd from range. Named by both Tycooner and Mon Crex as a strong pick for players building up.

Shin Godzilla, back beam and tail beam cover different angles, which matters when players are approaching from more than one side. (Mon Crex)

Avoid melee-only kaiju for this. Mon Crex is explicit that kaiju with no ranged option have to walk into the pile and are much worse at earning.

The underlying mechanic is reach and attack rate, not a per-kaiju currency bonus. No kaiju is documented as earning more cells per point of damage than another.

Mid-roster kaiju worth building toward before the endgame band

Between the starter roster and the 500,000 G-cell band there is a gap nobody has mapped properly, because prices for most of the roster have never been stated by anyone credible. These three are the exceptions worth knowing about.

Mid roster

Monster X

Cheapest documented route into the upper roster · 200,000 G-cells

Nerdious Momentos gives the price from his own play and states there are no kaiju prerequisites, so it is not gated behind owning something else first. At roughly 40 percent of the Space Godzilla and Shimo price, it is the least expensive unlock anyone has actually put a number on. Added in Update 32 per the official patch text.

Mid roster

Heisei Godzilla

Ranged farming, named as a pick for players still building up · Unpublished

Both Tycooner and Mon Crex name Heisei Godzilla as a strong choice while you are still accumulating cells. The technique is pulse and twin beams, sniping into a crowd from range rather than walking into it. Since cells come from damage spread across players, range is worth more here than it looks.

Mid roster

Monster Zero

Objective unlock rather than a straight purchase · Skull collection objective

Monster Zero is unlocked through a skull collection objective rather than a shop price, and ItzVexo has published a real locations guide for the skulls. How many skulls are required is not documented by anyone credible, so we do not state a number. The farming technique creators give is charging voltage into skill 5.

The weakest picks on the roster, and what to skip

This is the part of the roster Nerdious Momentos argues is effectively unplayable in practice, which is his central complaint about the game's balance. It is one creator's opinion, but it is a specific opinion from someone who plays the game, which puts it well ahead of anything a stat table on another site can offer you.

Weak band

Godzilla 1955

Unpublished

Singled out by Nerdious Momentos as near-unusable. That is the harshest thing any named creator says about a specific kaiju in this game. If you are choosing between saving and buying this, save.

Weak band

The Showa-era roster

Unpublished

Showa Godzillas, Gigan, Rodan, Mothra Larva and Showa Hedorah are described as slow, with long cooldowns, and weak in practice. Awkwardly, the developer keeps adding to this group: Showa Jet Jaguar arrived in Update 37 and Showa Gigan in Update 39, both after that assessment was made.

Weak band

Anything with no ranged option

Varies

Not a tier so much as a mechanic. Mon Crex points out that kaiju without a ranged attack have to walk into the pile to earn anything, which makes them much worse at generating cells regardless of how they perform in a duel. Check whether a kaiju can hit a crowd from outside it before you commit half a million cells.

G-cell costs for the best kaiju picks

The currency is G-cells, usually shortened to cells. If you have read that Kaiju Alpha uses U-cells, that term comes from the 2022 fan wiki for an earlier, since-rereleased version of the game. This site used it by mistake for months and several of our own URLs still carry it.

Three prices have been stated by a named creator playing the game. Everything else in the table below is honestly blank. Nerdious Momentos hedges even his own figures with the caveat that something may have changed without him hearing about it, so treat these as one player's account rather than a price list.

What the developer has actually changed about the best kaiju

SULU KAKA overwrites the Roblox game description with the patch text on each release, which means archived captures of the game page are the only machine-verifiable patch record that exists for Kaiju Alpha. Reading through it, one thing stands out: exactly one update has ever contained balance changes.

The practical summary: the developer has posted about a Season 2 update promising balance work, and until that lands, the roster's power gap is what the community has been playing around rather than something being actively tuned.

How we ranked the best kaiju, and what nobody knows

This page does not rest on play testing. It rests on the Roblox API, on archived captures of the official game page, and on named creators who do play the game. Where those three sources are silent, so is this page.

An earlier version of this guide reported hours of controlled testing, sample sizes and per-kaiju damage figures. Those were not real and have been removed. We are saying so here rather than quietly deleting them, because our invented numbers had started being quoted back to us by other sites as though they were player data. There is also no crowd ranking to fall back on: TierMaker hosts a Kaiju Alpha template that held 53 kaiju as of 24 June 2026, and its own community rank page says there are not enough rankings to create a community average yet. The single list on it is the template author ranking his own template.

What is solid here

The patch history, the developer identity, the update numbers and the fact that exactly one game pass exists are all API-verifiable or archived. The balance opinions are attributed to Nerdious Momentos by name. The farming routines are attributed to Tycooner and Mon Crex, and the assist mechanic is shown on camera.

What nobody has published

Per-kaiju HP, damage, DPS and cooldowns cannot exist, because skill points are allocated by the player rather than fixed per kaiju. The stat names and point caps for the current version are undocumented; the figures other sites quote come from a 2022 screenshot of this developer's earlier release. Also unpublished: prices for all but three kaiju, any drop rate with a sample size, what limit break does, which kaiju are free starters, and how many skulls Monster Zero needs.

Two limitations worth naming plainly. The unlock prices come from a single creator who hedges them himself, and Kaiju Universe, Age of Titans and Kaiju Arisen all share a hashtag pool with this game, which makes it easy to pick up a figure from the wrong one. We filtered on game name rather than currency name, but a single-source price is a single-source price. And Reddit is unreachable from here without a logged-in session, so nothing on this page should be read as evidence that Reddit players disagree or agree with any of it. We simply have not seen that discussion.

Roster note: the rankings and matchup notes on this page describe the Update 24 and 25 roster. They rest on the official patch text and on named creators who play the game, not on match testing done here. Kaiju Alpha is now on Update 39 (Showa Gigan). Six confirmed additions since then (Monster X, Queen MUTO, Godzilla Aquatilis, Showa Jet Jaguar, Final Wars Godzilla and Showa Gigan) are not ranked here, because no reliable stats have been published for them and guessing would be worse than leaving the gap visible. See the new kaiju tracker for what is confirmed about each one so far.

Frequently asked questions — best kaiju in Kaiju Alpha

What is the best kaiju in Kaiju Alpha overall?

There is no published answer, and there is no crowd answer either. Kaiju Alpha uses player-allocated skill points, so a fixed per-kaiju stat table cannot exist, and TierMaker does not hold enough user lists on its Kaiju Alpha template to produce a community average. That leaves named-creator opinion. The strongest of those comes from Nerdious Momentos, whose video on the game's balance problem argues that the endgame kaiju vastly outclass the rest of the roster and that Destoroyah is still overpowered even after a nerf. He also says a level 200 Space Godzilla can clear a crowd in two button presses. So the practical answer is: whatever endgame kaiju you can afford, with Destoroyah the most commonly named as too strong.

What is the best kaiju for beginners in Kaiju Alpha?

Biollante. Nerdious Momentos names it directly as the best beginner kaiju, with the caveat that it is still slow. That is the only beginner recommendation from a named creator we have found. Which kaiju you start with for free is not documented anywhere, so we do not claim one.

How much do the best kaiju cost in Kaiju Alpha?

Only three prices have ever been stated by a named creator playing the game. Nerdious Momentos gives Space Godzilla and Shimo at 500,000 G-cells each, and Monster X at 200,000 G-cells with no kaiju prerequisites. He calls 500,000 the endgame band and says the rest cost more. Andy Plays' video titles quote spends of 794,974 and 965,765 on Ghidorah and Queen MUTO, which fits the same scale. If a guide quotes you a three-digit price, it is wrong by roughly a thousand times.

Is Destoroyah still the best kaiju after its nerf?

According to Nerdious Momentos, yes. His balance video states that Destoroyah remains overpowered even after being nerfed. Nobody has published the numbers behind that nerf, so how much it changed is not knowable. Treat it as one named creator's opinion rather than a measured result.

Has the developer ever published kaiju balance changes?

Once, in Update 31. The official game description for that update listed the addition of Minilla, a fix for attacking while flying, maximum flight speed reduced from 45 to 37, and increased air attack cooldowns. Those are the only balance numbers SULU KAKA has ever published. Every other update line is a content addition with no notes attached.

Why does this guide not give HP and DPS numbers for each kaiju?

Because they cannot exist. Kaiju Alpha uses player-allocated skill points, so two players on the same kaiju have different numbers and there is no fixed per-kaiju stat table to publish. The exact stat names and point caps have not been documented for the current version, and the figures circulating on other sites come from a 2022 screenshot of the game's earlier release. We would rather leave the gap visible than restate a four-year-old screenshot as current data.

Which kaiju is best for farming G-cells in Kaiju Alpha?

Anything with reach. Cells and XP both come from damaging other players' kaiju, and assists pay in full, so a kaiju that spreads damage over a crowd earns more than one that kills a single target cleanly. Tycooner names Heisei Godzilla for sniping a crowd from range, Godzilla 2000 for atomic breath spam, Monster Zero for charging voltage into skill 5, and Space Godzilla for the crystal garden and pull setups. Mon Crex points out the inverse: kaiju with no ranged option have to walk into the pile and are much worse at it.

Are there codes in Kaiju Alpha to get kaiju faster?

Almost certainly not. No code videos exist for a game with over 7,000 concurrent players and 64 million visits, and even the code aggregator sites list none for it. There is no evidence a redemption system is in the game at all. The cell codes floating around in search results are unsourced.

Which kaiju should you avoid in Kaiju Alpha?

The Showa-era roster, according to Nerdious Momentos. He describes the Showa Godzillas, Gigan, Rodan, Mothra Larva and Showa Hedorah as slow, with long cooldowns, and weak in practice. Godzilla 1955 is singled out as near-unusable. That is opinion from one creator with a large audience, not a measurement. It is also the only relative ordering available: TierMaker does not hold enough user lists on its Kaiju Alpha template to produce a community average, so there is no crowd ranking to compare it against.

What each of these picks costs you in player kills

Every guide that answers this question answers it in cells, which is the number you cannot act on. The number you can act on is how many fights stand between you and the unlock. Two published figures make that convertible: the prices Nerdious Momentos states from his own play, and Tycooner's account that a player kill is worth roughly 200 to 500 cells. Dividing one by the other gives the table below.

Read it as arithmetic, not as a measurement. It inherits every weakness of its two inputs: the prices come from one creator who hedges them himself, and the cells-per-kill range is one player's impression rather than a published rate. It is still the first time anyone has put the two together, and the spread it produces is the honest answer to how long this takes.

Kill counts are derived, not observed: G-cell figure divided by 500 cells per kill for the low end and by 200 for the high end.
TargetG-cellsPlayer killsWhat the figure is
Monster X200,000400 – 1,000Cheapest unlock anyone has priced. No kaiju prerequisites.
Space Godzilla500,0001,000 – 2,500The endgame band, per the creator who states the price.
Shimo500,0001,000 – 2,500Same band as Space Godzilla; no ranking published between them.
King Ghidorah794,974 spent1,590 – 3,975A spend from an Andy Plays video title, not a sticker price.
Queen MUTO965,765 spent1,932 – 4,829Same caveat. Included as the top of the observed scale.

One mechanic bends these numbers in your favour, and it is the reason the farming picks above are chosen for reach. Assists pay in full, on camera, per Mon Crex. You do not need the kill to be paid for the damage, so every player you hurt and never finish is still paying you. How many that is per skill has not been documented for any kaiju, and we are not going to put a number on it. The direction is what matters: the kill counts in this table are a ceiling on how many kills you need, not a floor. Run your own numbers in the cell farming calculator if you want to change the per-kill assumption.

Five best kaiju claims that other guides get wrong

These are the specific things that send people to this page confused. Each one is repeated widely, and each one is either contradicted by something on record or rests on a system nobody has shown to exist.

A three-digit price for a kaiju

Wrong by roughly a factor of a thousand. The only prices stated on camera are 200,000 and 500,000 G-cells. A guide quoting 600 for a kaiju is reproducing the 2022 fan wiki for the developer's earlier release, not the current game.

A per-kaiju HP, damage or DPS table

Cannot exist. Skill points are allocated by the player, so two people on the same kaiju have different numbers. The tables you see elsewhere are generated. That is a structural fact about the game, not a research gap somebody will eventually close.

Cell codes, or a redemption system at all

No evidence any redemption system is in the game. What is real are timed multipliers the developer switches on and names in the place title itself, X2 EXP, x1.5 Coin and X2 XP among them. Those are events the developer switches on rather than codes you redeem, and nobody has documented whether the coin multiplier touches G-cells at all.

Buy a pass to double your cell income

There is no multiplier game pass. The game has exactly one pass, a pre-order recolour that is not for sale, and that much is API-verifiable. What we cannot check is the rest of the shelf: developer products, the one-time purchases made inside an experience, are not enumerable without authentication, so a paid multiplier product cannot be ruled out by anyone working from the outside. One creator does mention a doubled cell rate without explaining how he got it. Treat the arithmetic above as the no-multiplier case rather than as proof that nothing can speed it up.

Limit break unlocks level 200

Contradicted on camera. Mon Crex has max-level kaiju with no limit breaks done. Limit break shipped in Update 25 and what it does is undocumented by every source we can check.

More questions about the best kaiju in Kaiju Alpha

How many player kills does a 500,000 G-cell kaiju take in Kaiju Alpha?

Roughly 1,000 to 2,500, and that is arithmetic rather than a measurement. The only cells-per-kill figure anyone has given is Tycooner's, who puts a player kill at roughly 200 to 500 cells from his own play. Dividing the 500,000 G-cell price Nerdious Momentos quotes for Space Godzilla and Shimo by that range is where the number comes from. Two things make it soft: the range is one player's account rather than a published rate, and assists pay in full, so the number of fights you take part in is not the same as the number of kills you land.

Is Monster X worth buying before saving for Space Godzilla?

Nobody has published an answer, and we are not going to invent one. What is on record: Monster X costs 200,000 G-cells with no kaiju prerequisites, which is roughly 40 percent of the Space Godzilla price, and it was added in Update 32. Both figures come from Nerdious Momentos. No creator has commented on how Monster X actually plays, so there is no performance comparison to make. The only honest framing is the arithmetic: buying it first costs you 200,000 cells of progress toward the 500,000 band.

Do you need limit break to reach level 200 in Kaiju Alpha?

The most common claim online is that limit break is what raises a level 100 cap to 200, and that claim is contradicted on camera. Mon Crex states his kaiju are max level with no limit breaks done. Limit break is real and official, arriving in Update 25 alongside beam clash, but what it actually does has never been established by any source. Nobody should be telling you it gates level 200.

Does destroying buildings earn G-cells in Kaiju Alpha?

No source has demonstrated it. Cells and XP both come from damaging other players' kaiju, and that is the only income route anyone has shown on camera. Guides that describe building destruction routes and per-building payouts appear to have imported the mechanic from Kaiju Universe, a different Roblox game that also calls its currency G-Cells. Filter guides on the game name rather than the currency name.

Are U-cells and G-cells the same thing in Kaiju Alpha?

They are not two currencies. G-cells, usually shortened to cells, is what the game's community and the creators covering it actually say. U-cells traces back to a 2022 fan wiki for an earlier, since-rereleased version of the game. This site used the wrong term for months and several of our own URLs still carry it, which is why the cell farming calculator lives at a u-cell address. If a guide prices kaiju in U-cells and quotes three-digit numbers, it is working from that old wiki rather than from the current game.

Which kaiju do you start with for free in Kaiju Alpha?

Genuinely nobody has documented it. The developer has never stated it, no named creator has shown a fresh account on camera, and every list claiming to know traces back to the same AI-generated sources. This page previously named a starter and that claim has been withdrawn. If you have first-hand evidence from a new account, the contact page is the right place for it.
