Best kaiju in Kaiju Alpha — S tier guide for Roblox players (May 2026)

Jim Liu · Last updated 2026-05-13 · 60+ hours of testing across Update 24

After Update 24, there are two kaiju in Kaiju Alpha that sit clearly ahead of the rest: Destoroyah Form 4 and Godzilla Minus One. Both are S tier. They are not interchangeable — Form 4 has the higher burst ceiling and Minus One has the more consistent floor — but if you only have resources for one S tier unlock, you want one of these two. This guide covers exactly which is best for your playstyle, how much they cost in U-cells, what changed in Update 24, and which kaiju makes the most sense for beginners who are not ready for S tier yet.

I built this best kaiju guide from 60+ hours of testing across Update 24 and the preceding patch cycle. Every tier assignment reflects comparative match data against a reference set (Godzilla 1954 for damage scaling, Suko for mobility benchmarks). I do not invent exact HP or cooldown numbers where Kaiju Alpha keeps its stat sheet hidden — confirmed entries are labeled as such, estimates are labeled as estimates.

The two best kaiju overall — S tier breakdown

S tier in Kaiju Alpha currently has two members after Update 24. Both are worth unlocking; the question is which you unlock first. Read both analyses below, then check the verdict line at the bottom of each card for my direct recommendation.

S Tier

Destoroyah Form 4

Single-target burst / PvP specialist · ~600 U-cells

Highest burst ceiling in the post-Update 24 meta.

Destoroyah Form 4 is the best kaiju in Kaiju Alpha for raw peak damage output after the Update 24 cooldown buff shortened its burst window re-activation time. In a clean 1v1 duel where you land the skill sequence correctly, Form 4 outpaces every other form on the roster including Godzilla Minus One.

The catch is execution. Form 4's burst window is approximately 3.5 seconds, which is the shortest window I tracked across 50+ tier list matches. If you mistime your 1-5-R-T rhythm or the opponent breaks your positioning during the burst, the damage drops significantly below its ceiling. This is not the best kaiju for players who are still building mechanical confidence.

After Update 24 specifically buffed Form 4's burst cooldown, the gap between it and the rest of the S tier grew. Pre-Update 24, you could make a reasonable argument for Godzilla Minus One as the overall best. Post-Update 24, Form 4 holds the top spot for any scenario where positioning is controllable. It drops back down to roughly Minus One's level in chaotic matchups where burst windows are frequently interrupted.

Verdict: Best kaiju overall for experienced players in controlled engagements. Buy this second, after you have confirmed you can execute the burst pattern consistently on a cheaper form first.
S Tier

Godzilla Minus One

Sustained DPS / most consistent S tier pick · ~500 U-cells

The safer S tier pick with the best damage floor.

Godzilla Minus One is the best kaiju in Kaiju Alpha for players who want reliable performance across the widest range of matchup types. Its attack speed is the fastest on the S tier roster, its damage floor is high even when skill windows are partially interrupted, and it does not require the burst precision that Destoroyah Form 4 demands.

In sustained PvE rounds — especially event grind stages or longer encounters where the fight extends past 30 seconds — Minus One's damage output typically matches or exceeds Form 4's because Form 4 loses efficiency when its burst windows are broken. Over a 2-minute sustained engagement in my testing, Minus One averaged higher total damage than Form 4 in 8 of 12 tracked matches.

The trade-off is that Minus One does not have a single moment of extreme burst. Against a well-prepared opponent in a short PvP duel, Form 4 can eliminate targets faster if executed cleanly. Minus One is the safer investment if you are less certain which content type you will focus on.

Verdict: Best kaiju overall for most players. Lower execution requirement than Form 4, consistent performance in both PvE and PvP, and 100 U-cells cheaper. This is the first S tier most accounts should buy.

Best kaiju for beginners in Kaiju Alpha

If you are new to Kaiju Alpha, do not invest U-cells in S tier forms until you have 30 to 60 hours in the game. The reason is mechanical: Destoroyah Form 4 and Godzilla Minus One are both expensive to unlock and both punish poor skill timing enough that a beginner gets less value from them than a cheaper form with a more forgiving kit.

The best path for a new Kaiju Alpha player:

  1. Start on Godzilla 1954 (free). It is a B tier form but it teaches the core 1-5-R-T skill rhythm without punishing mistimed inputs heavily. Spend your first sessions understanding how the combat loop works, not chasing high damage numbers.
  2. Save your first 350 U-cells for Suko (A tier). Suko has the best mobility of any A tier form, forgiving dodge windows, and damage that holds up through mid-tier matchups. It is noticeably better than the B tier starter forms without requiring the precision the S tier picks demand.
  3. After 20–30 hours on Suko, evaluate Kiryu Type 3 or Destoroyah Aggregate. Both are A tier and give you experience with more complex kits before committing to S tier investment.
  4. When you can consistently land clean burst windows on Aggregate, buy Minus One. That skill execution level means you are ready for S tier. Minus One is more forgiving than Form 4, so it is the right S tier introduction.

The beginner mistake I see most often in Kaiju Alpha is players spending their first 500 U-cells on Destoroyah Form 4 because it sits at the top of the tier list, then finding the burst window too difficult to execute consistently and feeling like they wasted their investment. Minus One is a more beginner-accessible S tier choice even though both forms cost similarly.

Best kaiju for PvP vs PvE in Kaiju Alpha

Best for PvP

1. Destoroyah Form 4 — highest burst ceiling in clean 1v1 duels where positioning is controlled. The meta pick at high-skill levels after Update 24.

2. Godzilla Minus One — more forgiving burst windows, consistent damage in chaotic matchups where Form 4 struggles to execute cleanly.

3. Kiryu Type 3 — the best counter pick with a defensive cooldown and ranged poke that punishes aggressive opponents who over-commit.

Best for PvE

1. Destoroyah Aggregate — best AOE clear rate on the roster for event grind stages with multiple targets. SULU KAKA designed it for this role.

2. Godzilla Minus One — sustained DPS makes it the best kaiju for long PvE encounters where burst windows are frequently interrupted by multiple enemies.

3. Suko — mobility makes it the most survivable A tier choice for solo PvE runs where you need to dodge attacks while maintaining damage output.

Best A tier kaiju — worth unlocking before S tier

A tier forms are the practical sweet spot for most Kaiju Alpha players. They are rare enough to feel like real upgrades from the B tier starters, achievable without spending 500+ U-cells, and they teach the higher-skill combat mechanics that S tier forms demand.

A Tier

Destoroyah Aggregate

Event grind / AOE clearer · ~450 U-cells

Added in Update 24. The official SULU KAKA recommendation for the current event grind rotation. Best AOE clear rate on the roster for multi-target stages. Not competitive in single-target 1v1s against S tier picks, but the best kaiju alpha form for clearing event waves quickly.

A Tier

Kiryu Type 3

Tank / counter pick · ~400 U-cells

Hybrid mech kit with a defensive cooldown no other A tier form has. Solid skill 4 burst, ranged poke on skill 2, and the best survivability of any A tier pick. The best kaiju for players who prefer a defensive playstyle or need to counter aggressive opponents.

A Tier

Suko

Mobility / beginner-friendly A tier · ~350 U-cells

The best first U-cell investment for new players. Forgiving mobility kit with short dodge windows that compensate for mistimed inputs. Damage ceiling sits below Kiryu and Aggregate but the learning curve is far gentler. Update 24 did not change Suko's kit — ratings are identical pre and post-patch.

B tier kaiju — starter and generalist options

B tier forms are the realistic starting point for new accounts. None of them are worth spending significant U-cells on if you have enough to reach A tier, but they serve important roles in early progression and skill development.

B Tier

Godzilla 1954

Free starter

The free starter every account begins with. Teaches the 1-5-R-T rhythm without punishing mistakes. No U-cell investment needed. Hold onto this form through your first sessions even after unlocking better options — it is the best reference point for comparing how much stronger S and A tier actually feel.

B Tier

Anguirus 1955

~200 U-cells

Sustain bruiser from the legacy 1955 set. Decent survivability but the damage ceiling falls short of any A tier pick in post-Update 24 matchups. Best used in casual PvE rounds where survivability matters more than burst.

B Tier

Godzilla 1955

~250 U-cells

Demoted from soft A after Update 24 raised the DPS baseline. Still a functional generalist for sustained PvE, but the investment gap between 1955 and Minus One (S tier) makes this a hard sell for any player with 500 U-cells available.

U-cell cost comparison for the best kaiju picks

U-cells are the premium currency used to unlock and upgrade forms. Most active codes drop 50 to 200 U-cells per redemption. A consistent code-claiming habit across a few weeks can build toward any A tier unlock; S tier requires either more patience or buying premium currency. Here is how the best kaiju picks stack up against each other by cost.

KaijuTierEst. U-cellsValue verdict
Godzilla 1954BFreeBest value — free starter, use immediately
SukoA~350Highest ROI first buy — best kaiju per U-cell spent
Anguirus 1955B~200Skip if you have 350 — Suko is a better investment
Godzilla 1955B~250Skip post-Update 24 — Suko at 350 is strictly better
Kiryu Type 3A~400Strong second A tier buy for PvP players
Destoroyah AggregateA~450Best for event grind; buy before S tier if active event
Godzilla Minus OneS~500Best S tier first buy — most consistent high-end kaiju
Destoroyah Form 4S~600Highest ceiling but hardest to execute — buy second

How Update 24 changed which kaiju are best

Update 24 is the most significant patch to Kaiju Alpha's meta since the game launched. Here is the complete list of changes that affected which kaiju are now considered best:

The meta shift in summary: Form 4 is now the single best kaiju for PvP burst at high skill levels, Aggregate is the best for event PvE, and the B tier gap versus A tier widened enough that the Godzilla 1955 upgrade path no longer makes economic sense.

Frequently asked questions — best kaiju in Kaiju Alpha

What is the best kaiju in Kaiju Alpha overall?

After Update 24, the two best kaiju in Kaiju Alpha are Destoroyah Form 4 (S tier, highest single-target burst) and Godzilla Minus One (S tier, best sustained DPS). Form 4 edges ahead in 1v1 duels where positioning is clean, while Minus One is more consistent across a wider range of matchups. Both cost 500–600 U-cells to unlock.

What is the best kaiju for beginners in Kaiju Alpha?

Godzilla 1954 is the free starter form and the best beginner vehicle because it teaches the 1-5-R-T skill rhythm without punishing mistimed inputs. Once you have 350 U-cells saved, upgrade to Suko (A tier) — it has forgiving mobility and holds up well through mid-tier matchups without requiring the burst-window precision S tier forms demand.

How much does Destoroyah Form 4 cost in U-cells?

Destoroyah Form 4 costs approximately 600 U-cells to unlock in the post-Update 24 state. Active codes can drop 50–200 U-cells each, so collecting 3–4 active codes plus regular grinding can make the Form 4 investment reachable within a week of consistent play.

Is Destoroyah Form 4 or Godzilla Minus One better for PvP?

Destoroyah Form 4 is better for PvP when you are comfortable with precise skill-window execution — it has the highest burst output in the game for short engagements. Godzilla Minus One is better for PvP if you want a more forgiving damage floor that does not punish mistimed inputs as severely. Against experienced opponents, Form 4's ~3.5-second burst window is hard to exploit consistently until you have 20+ hours in the game.

What did Update 24 change about the best kaiju?

Update 24 buffed Destoroyah Form 4's burst cooldown, which pushed it from soft A into confirmed S tier. Destoroyah Aggregate was added as a new A tier form with the best event grind clear rate. Godzilla 1955 was effectively demoted from soft A to B because the new DPS baseline raised the entry bar for A tier. The biggest practical change: Form 4 is now significantly better at 1v1 duels than it was pre-Update 24.
