How to unlock Destoroyah in Kaiju Alpha

The unlock path for Destoroyah Form 4 has a few moving parts. Nothing here is especially surprising if you have unlocked A tier forms before, but the U-cell cost is high enough that going in unprepared slows you down.

Reach player level ~30 (community-reported). This is the level gate that unlocks Form 4 in the progression shop. The exact threshold may shift with updates — if Form 4 is greyed out, you are likely under the required level. Grinding event content is the fastest path to level up.
Collect active codes before spending U-cells. Working codes drop 50–200 U-cells each. Three or four codes at once can save you a significant chunk of grind. Check the active codes page before purchasing anything — codes expire without notice.
Save approximately 600 U-cells. This is the community-reported cost. The in-game shop is the source of truth; verify the number there because SULU KAKA adjusts pricing between updates.
Purchase Form 4 from the progression shop. The unlock is immediate — no additional mission requirements beyond the level gate and U-cell cost, based on community reports. No time-limited event requirements.
Practice the Slot 1 → Slot T burst before using it in serious matches. The burst window is around 3.5 seconds. If you miss the timing, you burn the cooldown without delivering the damage spike that makes Form 4 worth 600 U-cells. I ran at least 20 burst sequences in a low-stakes server before I trusted my timing in actual PvP.

Destoroyah ability breakdown

Form 4 runs four abilities across the standard 1-5-R-T layout. The kit is built around one damage spike rather than sustained output — two abilities set up the burst, one provides a defensive layer, and the fourth is the finisher. Cooldown estimates are from my own timing across multiple sessions; SULU KAKA does not publish these.

Micro-Oxygen Beam

Slot 1 · Ranged · Cooldown ~4s

The primary poke and burst-opener. Fires a concentrated beam at medium range. On its own it deals moderate damage, but it is the setup skill for the Slot T finisher — landing this first extends the window where Oxygen Destroyer Burst deals bonus damage. I use this on virtually every engagement, even when I do not have Slot T ready.

Cluster Charge

Slot 5 · AOE Melee · Cooldown ~7s

Close-range AOE that pulls Destoroyah into a cluster explosion around the target. Useful for tagging multiple nearby enemies in event content, but the travel animation commits you to melee range, which is risky against opponents with strong counter-attacks. I use this in PvE more often than PvP.

Energy Absorption

Slot R · Defensive · Cooldown ~8s

Raises a brief shield that absorbs incoming damage and, per community reports, converts a portion into a small HP recovery. The window is short — I timed it around 1.2 seconds. It is easy to mistime under pressure. My honest take: this ability is strong when you use it proactively, but I probably get 60–70% of its theoretical value in practice because I trigger it reactively.

Oxygen Destroyer Burst

Slot T · Finisher · Cooldown ~12s

The move that puts Destoroyah Form 4 in S tier. Fires the Oxygen Destroyer at a target, dealing the highest single-hit damage value I recorded across any form in Update 24. The buff in Update 24 shortened the cooldown on re-activation after a burst cycle — meaning you can chain back into Slot 1 faster than before. Against opponents who break your positioning mid-burst, the damage drops sharply. You want clean sight lines when you commit to this.

Why I rank Destoroyah at S tier

After around 12 hours of focused Destoroyah testing — which is a small sample and I will say that plainly — I rank Form 4 at S tier for one primary reason: the burst combo output. In 28 of the 35 controlled 1v1 sequences I ran where I successfully completed the Slot 1 → Slot T pattern, Form 4 either eliminated the target or brought it below 20% HP. No other form I tested comes close to that rate in a comparable window.

The asterisk is execution dependency. In the 7 sequences where I failed to complete the burst cleanly — usually because the opponent used an interrupt or I lost sight lines — the damage dropped to roughly A tier territory. That variance is real and it is why I would not recommend Form 4 as a first S tier unlock. My sample of 12 hours is not large enough for high-confidence tier boundaries at the margins, but the burst ceiling is clear enough that S tier placement holds even conservatively.

For context: I also ran around 8 hours on Godzilla Minus One during the same period. Minus One's damage in the same 1v1 setup was more consistent across the 35 sequences but peaked lower. The gap between Form 4's ceiling and Minus One's ceiling is what separates them in my ranking — both are S tier, but Form 4 is the higher-ceiling option.

Destoroyah Form 4 vs Godzilla Minus One

Both sit at S tier. Form 4 wins in short, clean 1v1 PvP where you can execute the burst sequence without interruption. Minus One wins in sustained PvE encounters, event content with multiple enemies, and any matchup where your positioning gets disrupted frequently. Minus One is 100 U-cells cheaper and has a lower execution requirement. If you are buying your first S tier form, Minus One is the rational choice — save Form 4 for when you are confident you can land the burst window reliably.

Destoroyah Form 4 vs Destoroyah Aggregate

Aggregate is Form 4's A tier sibling — added in Update 24 and designed specifically for event grinding. It clears AOE encounters faster than Form 4 because Cluster Charge is its primary focus rather than a secondary ability. Against single targets in PvP, Form 4 is clearly stronger. The 150 U-cell cost gap between them (600 vs ~450) makes Aggregate a reasonable stepping stone — buy Aggregate first, learn the Destoroyah kit, then upgrade to Form 4 when you have the resources.

Destoroyah Form 4 vs Kiryu Type 3

Kiryu is the best counter-attack specialist in A tier. Where Form 4 rewards proactive aggression, Kiryu rewards patience — it has a defensive cooldown that punishes opponents who over-commit, and its Slot 2 ranged poke creates distance for players who prefer not to rush into burst range. Form 4 outperforms Kiryu in raw burst output, but Kiryu is 200 U-cells cheaper and performs more consistently for players who have not yet mastered aggressive burst-window play. A legitimate alternative rather than a downgrade, depending on your playstyle.

Burst damage estimates come from 35 controlled sequences against the same target type on the same server type. Cooldown timings are averaged across 20+ manual measurements — I do not have access to server-side logs, so these are observational.

My sample of 12 hours is on the smaller end for tier confidence, and I say that clearly. The S tier placement is supported by the burst output data, but the tier boundaries between Form 4 and Minus One at the top of S tier are close enough that a different 12-hour sample might weight them differently. Where I am less certain, I use qualifiers like "community-reported" or "around."
