Coastal Ruins

Start every farming session here. Collect Skulls at the column bases, defeat Aqua Titan if available, then loop to the stone platforms before moving on. The tight cluster layout means each run takes under 90 seconds once you know the spawn positions.

Skull farmingEarly-game bossingGem collection
Aqua Titan (mini-boss)Respawn ~8 min
Patrols the submerged archway cluster. Drops Skulls and Coastal Gems on defeat. Low HP pool makes it the first recommended boss for new players.
Shore Sentinel (roaming)Respawn ~12 min
Appears at low tide intervals. Higher DPS than Aqua Titan but still manageable solo. Drops a small U-cell reward alongside standard Skulls.
SkullsHigh — 6–8 per spawn
Best skull density on the map. Clusters appear at the base of collapsed columns and on the raised stone platforms nearest the water. Respawn every 3–4 minutes.
Coastal GemsMedium — 3–4 per spawn
Scattered around the partially submerged ruins. Used in specific crafting recipes and event shop exchanges.
How to get thereNavigate south from the starting spawn pad — the collapsed archway silhouette on the horizon is the Coastal Ruins entry marker.

Best farming route — multi-zone loop

The most efficient passive farming route across the four zones is a three-point loop timed around zone respawn windows. The goal is to arrive at each zone just as the previous respawn cycle completes so you never idle waiting.

1
Start: Coastal Ruins
Collect the Skull cluster at the column bases (6–8 skulls) and pick up any Coastal Gems on the stone platforms. Check for Aqua Titan — if it is up, defeat it for the Skull and Gem drop before moving on. Total time in zone: ~90 seconds.
2
Move to: Central Wasteland
Head north to the monument. Collect Skulls from the rubble piles (4–5 skulls) and check for the Wasteland Crawler. If Monument Shards are needed, linger for the Wasteland Crawler kill. Total time in zone: ~2 minutes including the respawn wait.
3
Optional add-on: Northern Cliffs
If the session is extended, swing north to collect the fast-respawn Cliff skulls (2–3 skulls, ~2 min timer). This adds roughly 2 minutes to the loop but fills the time while Coastal Ruins resets. Defeat Cliff Drake if it is up for Feather Cores.
4
Return: Coastal Ruins
By the time you complete the Central Wasteland stop (and optional Cliffs), the Coastal Ruins respawn window has closed and new Skulls are available. Repeat the loop. Output: ~30–45 skulls per 10 minutes on this route, depending on whether you include the Cliffs.

Frequently asked questions

How many zones are on the Kaiju Alpha map?

Kaiju Alpha has four main map zones: the Coastal Ruins in the south (high skull density, beginner-friendly), the Central Wasteland in the center (monument and shard resources), the Northern Cliffs (fast respawn skulls and Feather Cores), and the Underground Cavern (accessible via the central sinkhole, advanced zone with Cavern Crystals and the Cavern Guardian elite boss).

What is the best zone to farm in Kaiju Alpha?

For skull farming, the Coastal Ruins is the best starting zone — highest skull density (6–8 per spawn) with a 3–4 minute respawn timer. For a sustained loop, pair it with the Central Wasteland as a second stop. The Northern Cliffs is the best zone for fast-cycle farming due to its 2-minute respawn, despite lower per-cycle quantity. The Underground Cavern is best for Cavern Crystal farming when the Cavern Guardian is up.

Where is the Underground Cavern entrance in Kaiju Alpha?

The Underground Cavern is accessed via the central sinkhole — a dark void opening roughly 50 meters northeast of the Central Wasteland monument. Descend vertically through the sinkhole; the cavern entrance tunnels are at the base. It is the only zone not accessible from the main surface without a descent.

What bosses are on the Kaiju Alpha map?

The Kaiju Alpha map includes six overworld bosses across four zones. Coastal Ruins: Aqua Titan (mini-boss, ~8 min respawn) and Shore Sentinel (roaming, ~12 min). Central Wasteland: Wasteland Crawler (elite, ~10 min) and Dust Wraith (roaming, ~15 min). Northern Cliffs: Cliff Drake (aerial, ~9 min). Underground Cavern: Cavern Guardian (elite, ~18 min) and Shadow Lurker (patrol, ~11 min).

What are Monument Shards used for in Kaiju Alpha?

Monument Shards are a Central Wasteland-exclusive resource dropped by the Wasteland Crawler boss and found in small clusters near the central monument. They are required for monument-locked upgrade nodes on specific kaiju — check your active kaiju's upgrade tree for shard-gated tiers. They cannot be obtained in any other zone.

What is the best boss to farm in Kaiju Alpha for U-cells?

The Shore Sentinel in the Coastal Ruins is the most accessible U-cell-dropping boss, with a ~12 minute respawn and manageable difficulty. The Wasteland Crawler in the Central Wasteland also drops U-cells alongside Monument Shards at a slightly faster ~10 minute respawn, but demands a stronger kaiju due to its AoE attacks.
