How Many Kaiju Are
in Kaiju Alpha?

SULU KAKA has never published an official roster count, and the developer's habit of overwriting its own patch notes means nobody can reconstruct one from scratch either. What exists instead is a dated fan count, a confirmed-names list built from official and named-creator sources, and a couple of names that don't actually belong on it.

TL;DR, the count
No official total exists. The closest real number is 53 kaiju, from a TierMaker template a named creator (Tycooner) maintained as of 2026-06-24, dated and not developer-issued. At least one confirmed kaiju (Showa Gigan) shipped after that date. Kamata-Kun and Anguirus 1955, both commonly listed elsewhere, are not confirmed to be in the game.

Where the "53 kaiju" number comes from

TierMaker hosts a "Kaiju Alpha ALL KAIJUS" tier template built by the creator Tycooner. As of 2026-06-24 that template held 53 kaiju. It's a real, dated, creator-maintained count, which is more than most guides can point to, but it comes with two honest limits: the 53 tiles are unlabeled sprite images, so the individual names aren't extractable from the template itself, and TierMaker's own Community Rank page for it says there aren't enough submitted rankings to produce a community average. Exactly one ranking exists on it, Tycooner's own. One list from the template's builder is not a crowd count, it's the best single data point available.

The game has kept adding kaiju since that date, most confirmed by Update 39 adding Showa Gigan on 2026-07-19, so 53 is a floor from a specific date, not a current total.

Why there's no official total

SULU KAKA publishes each patch by overwriting the live game description with new text, which destroys the previous version. The Internet Archive's Wayback Machine is the only thing preserving old captures, and it happened to miss ten update windows entirely (22, 23, 26, 27, 29, 30, 33, 34, 35, 36), plus there's no confirmed content for update 38. That's a hard gap in the public record, not a research failure, no amount of searching recovers text that was never archived. The full reconstructed timeline, including which updates have a confirmed source and which don't, is on the new kaiju tracker.

Two names that keep showing up but don't belong

Kamata-Kun traces to one real artifact: a TikTok video captioned as a fan suggestion for the game, someone's concept, not a confirmed addition. Every other source calling it a real Kaiju Alpha kaiju comes from the same AI-generated wiki cluster that copies its own claims back and forth.

Anguirus 1955 has no real artifact behind it at all, no official mention, no archived place name, no creator footage. It appears only in that same spam-wiki cluster. Several sources agreeing is not corroboration when they're all copying the same origin, which is exactly the trap this page is trying to avoid repeating.

FAQ: Kaiju Alpha roster count

How many kaiju are in Kaiju Alpha?

There is no official total, SULU KAKA has never published a roster count. The closest real number is a fan-maintained one: a TierMaker tier-list template built by the creator Tycooner held 53 kaiju as of 2026-06-24. That is a dated, creator-maintained count, not a developer statement, and the game has added at least one confirmed kaiju (Showa Gigan, Update 39) since that date.

Why can't the exact number be confirmed?

SULU KAKA publishes patch notes by overwriting the game's own description each update, which destroys the previous text. The Internet Archive is the only thing preserving old versions, and it has no capture for ten of the update windows (22, 23, 26, 27, 29, 30, 33, 34, 35, 36) plus no confirmed content for update 38. That is a permanent gap in the record, not something more searching can fix.

Is Kamata-Kun a real kaiju in Kaiju Alpha?

Almost certainly not. The only real artifact behind the name is a TikTok video captioned as a fan suggestion, i.e. someone's concept for a kaiju, not a confirmed addition. Everything else calling it a real kaiju traces to the AI-generated wiki cluster that copies from itself.

Is Anguirus 1955 in the game?

No confirmed source shows it. It appears only in the same AI-generated wiki cluster, with no corroboration from the official description, the archived place-name history, or any recorded creator session.

Is there a community-agreed tier list that could confirm the roster?

No. The TierMaker page for the Kaiju Alpha "ALL KAIJUS" template states, in its own words, that there are not enough rankings to produce a community average. Exactly one user list exists on that template, and it belongs to the creator who built it. One list is not a crowd consensus.

Does this list include every kaiju that has ever existed in the game?

No, and it says so deliberately. This is a list of names confirmed by an official source or a named creator, not a claim of completeness. New kaiju arrive with each update, most recently Showa Gigan in Update 39, so any fixed number is out of date the moment the next update ships.

About this list

Every "confirmed" entry traces to the official game description, an archived patch line, an archived place name, or footage from a named creator. "Teased" entries have a real source that stops short of confirming the kaiju is live. "Not in game" entries have no source beyond the AI-generated wiki cluster this site avoids citing.
