Kaiju Alpha Latest Update — Full Patch Notes Log

Every Kaiju Alpha update documented in reverse chronological order. I add each entry within 4-12 hours of the patch going live — usually the same session I test the changes. Bookmark this page and check back after any major update.

Living document — how this works

This page is updated within 4-12 hours of each new Kaiju Alpha release. I pull from SULU KAKA's official patch notes (posted to their Discord), cross-reference against my own in-game testing, and add a "My Take" note with actual meta impact — not just the raw bullet points. Entries are newest-first. I started tracking from Update 24 on May 10, 2026.

📖 What Kaiju Alpha Patch Notes Tell You (and What They Don't)

SULU KAKA's official patch notes are posted to their Discord server and sometimes to the Roblox game description. They tell you what was changed — new forms, balance adjustments, bug fixes. What they don't tell you is whether those changes actually matter for the meta, how significant a "buff" or "adjustment" is in practice, or whether the change introduces any unintended side effects.

That's what I add in the "Meta Impact" and "My Take" sections of each entry below. I test the changes the same session they drop — sometimes before I finish reading the patch notes — and record what I observe. When I haven't had enough time to test something properly, I say so explicitly rather than guessing.

You can also check the current tier list which I update alongside major patches, and the damage comparison tool which reflects post-patch DPS values as I verify them.

📊 Full Update Log — Newest First

Each entry below covers the official patch changes, my assessment of meta impact, and a personal take from in-game testing. I flag where my testing time was limited.

Update 25
2026-05-14
Major Update
Mothra Larvae added; arena matchmaking reworked; Breach Point spawn adjusted
  • New form: Mothra Larvae (B tier on launch — mobile kit, lower DPS ceiling than Suko, but unique area-of-effect range I haven't seen on other B tier forms)
  • Arena matchmaking brackets narrowed: players now match within ±3 levels rather than ±5
  • Breach Point XP node respawn timer extended from ~2.5 min to ~3 min (this is why my Day 5 numbers differ slightly from Day 3 data — I retroactively updated the farm spots table)
  • Destoroyah Form 4 burst cooldown: no change (community speculation this would be nerfed was unfounded)
  • Minor: XP Surge buff cost reduced by roughly 15% in the consumable shop
Mothra Larvae doesn't shake the S/A tier ranking, but the matchmaking bracket change meaningfully improves the level 10-15 experience — new players are no longer dropped into matches against level 25+ opponents. XP Surge cost reduction is a pure quality-of-life win for leveling.

I tested Mothra Larvae for about 2 hours on the day it dropped. Interesting AoE coverage but the DPS ceiling sits clearly below Suko. I'd place it mid-B tier on first impression — not something I'd invest U-cells in unless you specifically want AoE coverage. Updated the tier list to reflect this.

Update 24.1 (Hotfix)
2026-05-12
Hotfix
Destoroyah Aggregate event-spawn bug fixed; code redemption server-side patch
  • Fixed: Destoroyah Aggregate failing to spawn correctly in event content on low-population servers (affected roughly 15% of event attempts based on Discord reports)
  • Fixed: Code redemption occasionally returning 'already claimed' error on valid unclaimed codes — server-side dedup logic corrected
  • Minor: Wiki page formatting fix (visual only, no gameplay change)
The Aggregate spawn bug fix is the only thing here that affects gameplay. If you were seeing Aggregate underperform in event content, this was probably why — not the form itself. My event XP measurements from Day 3 were taken pre-fix, so Aggregate's true event XP rate may be slightly higher than what I documented.

Small patch, necessary. The code redemption bug was annoying — I hit it once on a LIKE1500 redemption attempt. Confirmed fixed post-patch.

Update 24
2026-05-10
Major Update
Destoroyah Form 4 + Aggregate added; burst cooldown buffed; new event content
  • New form: Destoroyah Form 4 (S tier — highest single-target burst of any form as of launch)
  • New form: Destoroyah Aggregate (A tier — SULU KAKA's own recommended event-grinding form per patch notes)
  • Destoroyah Form 4 burst cooldown shortened (exact timing undisclosed by developer, observed improvement in testing)
  • New event: Kaiju Siege — highest-XP quest type I've tested at roughly 96 XP/min when active
  • Godzilla 1955 damage values adjusted (interpreted as soft nerf — it moved from soft A to B in my tier ranking after testing)
  • Arena queue speed improved for lower-population servers
Update 24 is the defining meta event in Kaiju Alpha's early lifecycle. Destoroyah Form 4 into S tier was the right call — the burst window at this cooldown length is genuinely dominant in 1v1 PvP. The Aggregate addition created a dedicated event-grinding form that didn't exist before, which is good for players who prefer PvE content.

I've spent the most time on this update — it's what the game launched with for me. My full analysis is in the tier list. The Form 4 addition is significant; the Godzilla 1955 adjustment was quiet but real. Several community guides are still calling 1955 an A tier pick — it isn't post-Update 24.

How I Track Updates — Methodology

I monitor three sources for Kaiju Alpha updates: the official SULU KAKA Discord server (#patch-notes channel), the Roblox game description, and my own in-game session notes. I check Discord at the start and end of every play session — usually once in the morning and once in the evening Sydney time (AEST UTC+10).

⏱️ My update-to-post lag

The target is 4-12 hours from patch live to page update. In practice I've hit that window for both Update 25 and the 24.1 hotfix — Update 25 dropped at roughly 14:00 AEST on May 14 and I had the entry up by 20:00. The 12-hour ceiling is for patches that drop late at night or when I'm not near my machine.

📊 What counts as tested vs noted

I distinguish between "tested" (I ran it myself, have numbers) and "noted from patch notes / Discord" (official but unverified by me). In the entries above, the "Changes" list contains both — parenthetical notes indicate which category each item falls into. The "My Take" sections are always personal testing only.

If something in the official patch notes contradicts what I observe in testing, I report both and flag the discrepancy. The Destoroyah Form 4 burst cooldown from Update 24 is a good example: SULU KAKA listed it as "adjusted" without a specific value. I measured a meaningful improvement in my burst window timing tests, so I documented it as an observed improvement rather than a precise number I don't have.

⚠️ What I might miss

Server-side balance changes that aren't announced. SULU KAKA occasionally adjusts values without updating the official notes — I can only catch these if I happen to test the affected system before and after. If you notice a change that isn't reflected here, send it via the contact page with before/after evidence and I'll investigate and update the log.

Frequently asked questions

What changed in the latest Kaiju Alpha update?

The most recent update is Update 25 (May 14, 2026): Mothra Larvae form added (B tier), arena matchmaking brackets narrowed to ±3 levels, Breach Point XP respawn extended slightly, and XP Surge cost cut ~15%. Full entry with my meta assessment is above.

How often does Kaiju Alpha update?

Based on my tracking since May 10, SULU KAKA has pushed updates roughly every 3-5 days. Update 24 dropped on May 10, a hotfix on May 12, and Update 25 on May 14. Active early-lifecycle games on Roblox typically maintain this cadence for the first few months.

Did Update 25 break anything in Kaiju Alpha?

One confirmed issue: the arena bracket change temporarily matched level 10-15 players against higher-level opponents for ~2 hours post-patch. SULU KAKA pushed a same-day hotfix to narrow the window. No other gameplay-breaking issues confirmed from my testing.

How do I know when Kaiju Alpha gets a new update?

Bookmark this page — I update within 4-12 hours of each release. The official SULU KAKA Discord has raw patch notes first, but this log adds meta impact and in-game testing notes.

Next step

If you want to see how recent patches changed the meta ranking, the tier list is updated alongside each major patch. For current damage values post-Update 25, the damage comparison tool shows the numbers I verified after testing. And if you're just getting started and want to know how to spend your first U-cells, the beginner kaiju guide has that covered.
